Wheel Refurb Process

We think it's important you know how everything works - we like our customers to be as involved with the events occurring as much as possible. I'm sure you can agree; no one would log onto http://www.casino.com and not care what happens to their chips, so it's feasible that the wheels on your car are just as important.

Here is how the wheel refurbishment process works; you bring in your old wheels or alternatively send them via a courier.

Once the wheels have the tyres removed and have had balancing weights taken off..

Step 1 of the wheel refurbishment process:

A shot blaster or sand blaster is used and applied to each wheel one by one to remove paint and lacquer - leaving just the metal rim.

Step 2:

Any damage to the wheels is dealt with during this stage, such as filling kerb damage to the wheel.

Step 3:

Now is when heat is applied to your wheels just in case there is any air left. After this the wheels are powder coated, then left to dry. Any custom jobs will be dealt with during this stage of the process.

Step 4:

This is when a coat of clear lacquer is applied to protect the paint and the wheel itself from any minor scratches, etc.

This is just a general summary of the wheel refurbishment process, in many cases customers require custom paint is added to enhance the look of their wheels when they're finished.

The process of wheel refurbishment usually takes between 2-3 days for a normal wheel refurb, if you require diamond cut or other special paint finishes it can take up to 5 days. Wheel refurbishing can be done on site or if you send us your wheels via courier.
